Hmm under the application form, they asked to provide referees, and i put down one of friend's name who has been a cabin crew in jal for more than 3 years. (with her consent of cos) Does that constitute as a recommendation? If not, does it help in my application?
Thanks!

i dun think that counts. Thats just references, and I dun think JAL calls your references.
Hi Sharkie, I thought it strange too at first when i saw the application form. Below the name of referee, they asked for referee's occupation, which is understandable, but address of referee? I thought usually employers will call referees to assess the character of the candidate? Wondering how the address info will actually help
Anyway, since they are unlikely to call references, then who will they call? Or will they actually bother to do checks?

references from SIN CA via application form may not be taken as seriously as recommendations from jpnese in management of JAL.

Hi Sharkie,
Care to share how many applications did they receive this round? Just wondering the chances of getting shortlisted.

I think for the first round, as long as u fulfill the height requirements, qualifications, didnt tick that u had any visible scars or disability, criminal records etc, most prob they will shortlist u, right Sharkie?
