Thanks!
Haha, defintely not me! You mean you got to know of people who actually did that? LOL. My mum even commented that my photos look too formal, like taking criminal photo, except that this criminal is grinning from ear to ear!

To Lolitaa: no we dont fly european routes. interviews will be based more abt urself, your hobbies and short intro abt urself. they will not ask u abt JAL history, however ask abt ur image on JAL so prepare your interviews. know what you're talking abt. dont go without any preparation. keeping quiet is a minus.

just prepare possible questions like *why JAL* .. something related to those.

no swimming test.

if u can speak japanese, best to prepare short japanese speech for urself. content is up to individual. *not fixed*

Yes, I saw some of the pics... they hold the camera and took their own pic so only 4.5 of their face is in the pic! And some act cute, like holding a can and one leg up in the air... yikes
gosh ... i guess those wont get chosen ...
wonder if they started mailing people today .....
i guess 200 applications in total ?

15 places only ....

Sharkie Thanx for keeping us informed :P

Hi, thanks v much for all the info so far! I just have some questions with regards to the job itself:

a) When you guys mentioned many turnaround flights, does it imply that the crew often don't stay overnight at the destination, but just a couple of hours before leaving again? Sorry about this dumb question, cos I'm not sure about the terms

b) I understand the flights are mainly to the States with some changes.. So does the crew continually fly the same patterns and destinations through the years? Does it get boring?

c) Also, I've heard of someone who left before completing the bond. I understand that everyone's different, but what are some potential plus and minus points to expect from the job?

Thanks so much for all the advice!! Good luck all for the applications! :D

sharkie8480 wrote: It is definitely better for u to use japanese if you can. They do prefer it actually. Most of the girls who dunno any japanese also learn some basic ones for self intro during interview. Shows you are interested in jap culture. They send invitations by mail only. No email, no phone calls except for the medical check round (final). Anyway, I dun think many girls applied this time. A week ago, they only received about 100 applications. So unless all came in at the last min, not much competition =) BTW, sorry to tell u all this, but they rejected those above 25.

SNAIL mail, my dear =)
SIN base used to fly to Aussie. But they gave the route to JALways. There are rumors that we might fly china domestic routes soon, but not confirmed. Not sure abt the rest. SO far, its just USA mainly
hi sharkie.... hey, wah.... snail mail huh? hmm.... so i guess i better be checking my mail box often! thanks for e info..... hey do u mean u get to see those applications this time round? hmm..... u mean e HR dept is so open with it? also would like to know if the chances of being selected is greater if somebody in jal recommends u in....

Hello everyone :D

Sharkie, I just doubt whether they will take in a Malaysian who is residing in KL? If yes, will they provide accomodation for Malaysians?

According to your previous reply, the JAL's flight attendant has 8 days off per month average, means I can go back to KL frequently ... :o

Now which I'm concerning the most is that will they take in a Malaysian...

They will not provide accommodation. If you are interested, u have to arrange for it yourself.

magrit: yep the chance is greater if someone in JAL recommends u in. however u need a japanese for recommendation, and someone related to cabin division. if you have connection. pls use the top management if not CAs do not really have power for recommendation.

hope this information can help u.
