Not true, GCSE replaced the GCE 'O' level several years ago. GCE 'O' level was a lone exam whereas GCSE is modular.
Its questions are from Cambridge University and are marked by the people in Cambridge.
This may well be the case in Singapore and I have no real interest but the 'O' level examinations that are still held elsewhere are administered by Edexcel.

Plavt
GCSE and GCE O level are equivalent according to many universities in the UK, Australia etc. Just go check their websites.

Get this straight they are not if GCSE replaced GCE how can it be equal since one no longer exists? As for quoting websites kindly supply the url to confirm what you said as I notice you never do, so if you cannot provide proof do please shutup!.

Plavt.

PS: Universtiy entry requirments in the UK are nothing less than 'A' level so they would not be interested in GCSE's or 'O' levels (same in Australia).

Hi there,
Does anyone of you know if the airline were strict with the height measurement?
Coz I always have a different measurement of either 157cm or 158cm.
This really bother me alot! I was afraid of being asked to leave even before going in for the interview.
:? well, being a cabin crew in the JAL was always the dream of mine! But the thought of my
height has make me feel abit lack of confident

Welcome to the board barbiedoll, I suggest you find somebody who you can rely on to check your height. Several girls here in another thread (relating to SIA) claimed to be too short but when their height was taken they measured taller than they believed they were and were over the minimum!

You never know till u get measured on the day itself, right? So, why not just try for it. Even if you are asked to leave, at least u know for sure.

Hi sharkie,
were you the one who recommended Hollywood secret's for the phototaking? Do you have any place to recommend for a professional yet affordable shoot. The normal photoshops I check out (fujifilm) don't provide full length phototaking.
Hope you could help.

Thanks

Hello. You can take the photo yourself. Why must have a professional shoot? :P

Really, this height of mine bother me alot lot since i hope to become a cabin crew. guess you would not have imagine that i had actually taken my measurement anywhere i could find a measurement machine and stand from clinics ,school to shopping centres.~I have asked doctor to take my height and i got 158cm..~ I even got him to wrote a letter that include my height, weight and BMI...as a back up..Haha! Well, it's just a piece to encourage me to go on and try..~ :P

(Well how i wish i can grow again then i won't be so bother about the bloodly height of mine again....)Ai ya ya ya, whatever it is, I should stop thinking about it
and give it a try,who knows it really turn out to be good!

Doesnt have to be a professionally taken photo. Of course it will look better, but doesnt Have to be from a studio. I wasnt the one who suggested Hollywood secrets =) Just wear biz attire and take it against any plain background. Should be fine. I dun think they mind even if its not a plain background unlike Emirates/Qatar etc.

As for weight, I don't think it matters as long as you are healthy and look proportionate. Some girls are above 55kg, and still ok, as long as you still look pleasant. Most impt is your attitude.

HTHs :)

So Emirates and Qatar definitely have to be white background for both full length and pp size photo and JAL ok to have any plain backgrd? What about like light greyish or off white? Still ok for all 3 airlines? :?

The biz attire, wat abt shoes? And pp size photo, hair tied or hair down? Both full length n pp size does not have to be taken at the same timings rite?

yes, I know they're weird qns but jus wanted to be sure.. :)
