Had to save that one. will probably get a good full size printout done. Even if it's 5-6 year old it's still a fantastic photo. No atmospheric haze for a change.

Google Earth

Postby Ecka Dimmock » Fri, 17 Mar 2006 8:42 am

Have you ever tried Google Earth? It's fascinating. It allows you to focus in pretty much anywhere (some places seem to be blurred out, I guess because of military installations)

Have a look at places you used to live, St. Peter's basilica, Red Square, the Forbidden City and take a look at the streets of Pyongyang (pretty bleak!) http://earth.google.com/

Ecka Dimmock,

you need to browse around here more......

If you look through the "Where is this...." thread you will see that we've been using Google Earth for many months already. Started with the 1st beta now on the 2nd or 3rd.

Welcome back!

Instead of Google Mars, lets have Fried Mars Bars! In the words of some of my womenfolk, "Sinfully Delicious"!
