I’ve been in Singapore for a week and I’m totally lost as to where to live… My company – which is based in Tanjong Pagar – has paid for an agent to take me around but I must admit I am a bit depressed with what I have seen so far…
I’m looking for a condo which is not in a boring, quiet residential area and so far that’s all I’ve seen!
I’m a single 28 year old French/British girl, have spent some time in Basel (Switzerland) and London (Richmond) so I’m used to living in small apartments. I'm on a 1-year contract and am open to signing a 1-year lease. My budget is around SG 2000 – 2300 for a furnished apartment.
My criteria:
- must be close to MRT station (ideally East-West line)
- needs to be in a lively area with cafes, supermarket, restaurants and if possible girlie shops (e.g. clothes, decoration…) and cinema just by my door.
Nice to have:
- lap swimming pool
Not bothered about tennis courts etc…
Areas which I have seen so far and which I like include: Club Street, Orchard Road.
As you can see, haven’t seen much…
Any advice would be more than welcome.
