I'm planning a weekend trip to Malaysia.
Just called to a pet hotel and charges were (Friday evening to Monday) $35 initial charges and $15/day. Every day counts and therefore they will charge for 4 days. -> $95 for this time.
I find this quite expensive. I need your help to find other solutions.
Are there any other possibilities? Back in home country we had a network of kids who loved pets. They took care of the pets while owners were away. Nice money for the kids and their 'club'. Not too expensive for the pet owners.
Anything like this in Singapore?

Pet sitters on the classifieds? I've seen some postings on people providing this service...except that you don't know them and wonder whether you can trust them...

What about your neighbours? (Who are dog lovers...)

I'll check classifieds out today. I'll also try to see if there are some kids in our block who would like to take care of our cat.

There is a place called Pet Mobile, they come and visit your home and feed and play/walk your pet for you. Have used them myself and found them very reliable. Can't remember the number but you can find them at
www.petmobile.com.sg

I left my Sheltie at Hot Dog around River Valley. They were fab! Would certainly recommend them.
