Life's Little Ironies

Post by Mary Hatch Bailey » Wed, 15 Mar 2006 9:52 am

Sirhan Sirhan, the convicted killer of Robert F. Kennedy, is up for parole in the state of California. While it's very unlikey he will be granted parole at his hearing, if he does, the decision falls to the Governor... that's right Arnold Schwarzenegger, or more exactly for puposes of our discussion, the man married to the neice of RFK. Or may be its just a good example of karma?

The chances are, therefore, between sweet FA, buckleys and snowballs.

If he is denied parole, which would be the likely outcome, I hope MrGovernator based his decision NOT on personal feelings. Politics seem to be a lot about being selfish these days.

When you're in a position of authority, seems pretty often enough, decisions have been made to please oneself and the masses, the ones who gave you that power and decide if you'll stay there long.

There is a thin line between pleasing the masses and doing what's right...

..and not many have done what's right.
