A question for the legal professionals

Post by Halekulani » Mon, 13 Mar 2006 8:42 pm

A relative of mine in Chicago is interested in being a representative for some legal firms in Singapore and Malaysia OR to represent clients who may need a lawyer in USA. We realise there are a lot of US companies already practising here..just wondered .. can he advertise in Singapore?

If not how should he go about letting companies and legal firms know that he is interested in doing work for /with them here?

Thank you.

I think it is good idea... but I think you have better opportunities elsewhere...
can you email me, so that I can share some ideas on legal representations for US lawer in Asia...

lalee@inbox.com

And tell me what kind of legal practice he has and so on..

Halekulani,

Why don't you ask your relative to simply write to the local law firms? Easy peasy. If he's got a good CV or networks, I don't see why the local firms won't work something out with him. If you want a directory of the local law firms, check with the Law Society at http://www.lawsociety.org.sg/

Hope this helps
