LOCAL SINGAPOREAN PARTNER - EXECUTIVE SEARCH

Post by robin37 » Thu, 09 Mar 2006 11:22 pm

Hello,

Can anyone recommend to me how I would best go about finding a good local business partner in Executive Recruitment.

I would like to open a branch of my business in Singapore and let the local individual run that business.

I have a solid boutique headhunting business based in London and see Singapore as very important going forward.

I would like to have a boutique Executive Search operation in Singapore

Are there government sites or would newspaper ads be better? Would that be in the Straits Times or elsewhere?

Any advice will be greatly welcomed.

Kind regards
Robin

The ideal search avenue would be in engaging a headhunting firm, this is taking into consideration that you do not have any relevant contacts here.

However, you mentioned 'partner', so I assume that an injection of funds or capital might be required of this person. So I guess in a way, what you will have to do is advertise your company and it's service/s.

You might want to approach business set-ups organisation/s that are available, via the internet. Do a search on government sites and in particular business set-ups.

Personally I don't see the need to advertise in the Straits Times or the local newspapers. You need to look for trade publications of some sort and so on.

Strong Eagle or Sundaymorningstaple might be of help.

i suggest you try and contact IE Singapore..... the organisation helps local companies looking at overseas growth and most small organisations/ consultants register with them..... i guess you are looking at locals.... expats may not go to them for help unless they are PRs. lternatively you could try the trade and commerce departments at the British/ Australian/ American/ french embassies.

robin37,

As you seem to be a specialist (boutique) headhunter, it might help also if you were to indicate what your speciality is. Are you IT oriented, Telecoms, Petrochemical/chemical, Financial or what? If you would rather not post it here you can PM me (but only after you have around 10 posts will the PM function work for you).
