Postby La Di Da » Fri, 03 Mar 2006 2:33 pm

A few of us, complete beginners, are meeting in front of MacDonalds ECP at 5pm on Sunday, all beginners welcome to join us.

Those of you that can already manage to stay standing up for longer than a few minutes are more than welcome to join and offer some support, literally!!

PM me if you'd like to come and wobble with us and I'll give you my contact no! :girl:

60 mins, thats about erm 60 times longer than me !!!
I'm thinking of adopting my snowboarding painfully learnt lesson of sticking a cushion down the back of my trousers, prevents a lot of "bruising"

Tink mcdonalds is a good meeting place and there is lots of rental choises ard there too. Would be skating with Jedi on Sat, else would join you guys. Next time for sure.

Lean forward a little bit and you will not fall backwards, stand with skates at shoulder width and form a v-shape. bend at your knees and ankle, waist arching and holding weight of upper body, arms apart for balancing. This is the "ready stance". Most basic skill to commit to subconsious and musle memory.

Tune in to tip II next week, forgive my nosiness hehe, you probably already know.
