This is a very good mindset. Yes it's tough but to me it build my confidence to face nasty passengers and colleagues and learn to be more patient. You cant just quite because of one nasty incident right? That's the most stupidest decision I've ever heard. Oh by the way, when I was with Silkair, I've a lot of crew doing their part-time studies. So seek help from the roster lady, if not, your trainer, if not, your manager. There should be someone there to help you. It's not like, "No! You can't study part-time! You have to work, work, work!" LOL!

hi just to ask if it is true that silkair interview will be held on the 19th and 20th this month as i could find any info abt it on their webbie :) :)

Yes i heard too about cutting down on flights..Does that mean we will have lesser salary??I'm going have class 2-3 times a week next year...so gotta plan ahead!!Hope they can reschdule my roster with my studies..
And by the way have u start your training yet??
Yeah. Starting my training on next Mon. I guess its quite definite tat salary is gonna be lesser but at least they are not cutting our allowance. & ya. Like what Singaporegrl says, as long as its not too demanding a request, I guess they should be able to alter and fix to your schedule. But I guess we still have to play our part. Im not sure if 2-3times a week is alot but you can always check it out with them next time. I agree with Plavt that the point whereby we are gonna be called bk during off days is goin to be boring and its just not easy to have e time off with ur family and friends. Well, I guess we just have to be prepared for all this since the first day you have the intention to join this "not-so-glamourous-afterall" job.

Determination and discipline plays a great part too. Not just working in MI but for any jobs you take on. When I was working in the hotel, I often gets nasty customers and difficult superiors as well. I just have to tackle those problems properly. Can't possibly be running away from all kinds of problems occur during work. In that way, we will probably become a job-hopper and that only makes my life miserable.

So Bluexob, have faith in yourself. Try it out. At least you won't regret the next 10yrs down the road that you did not try out your favourite and a almost "all-girls-dream" job. :D
Yeah i will!!Hopefully i'm in this time round...
I can understand how miserable life is when we have to face nasty and unappreciate customers not to mention their complaints..
But that doesnt affect my performance at work...Its just part and parcel of the job especially for customer service line..I always have this mindset that customer always right no matter what..And we on the other hand, always must provide excellent and satisfaction services...That's wats matter the most..I've been surviving this line for years so i think i'm ready for something more aggressive..
I'm still working for this multi food restaurants so imagine what i'm going through daily...And yet, i still gotta remain positive...
But still imagine serving on a plane, i havent take any flight for some time now...I'm sure the environment gonna be different and i think i'm gonna have airsick too!!!Got to ready a bottle of medicated oil
