Silkair only has 2 ranks - Cabin crew and Cabin Crew in Charge (CIC), wearing green and orange uniform respectively.
Thank you for the insight. How long does it take for a stewardess to be considered for CIC?
If i'm not wrong, the gals told me its minimum 3yrs.

Silkair is recruiting.

Flight Stewardess

We are looking for female cabin crew with a combination of grace and a warm smile to provide excellent and attractive service to our customers.

Besides being at least of 1.58m tall, you should also possess a minimum of 3 GCE 'O' Level or 4 GCE 'N' Level credits including English. Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents preferred.

We offer a comprehensive range of attractive benefits including free and discounted travel, profit sharing bonus, annual wage supplement, assistance in further studies, subsidised medical and dental benefits, and attractive flying and transport allowances.

If you think you have what it takes to be part of our team, come and see us at Marina Mandarin Singapore, Vanda 7 (Level 6), 6 Raffles Boulevard, Marina Square between 9am and 4.30pm on 10 or 12 March 2007.

Please bring along your I/C, copies of educational certificates and 2 passport-sized photographs. Previous applicants need not apply.

In fact I had a batchmate who is married with two kids. If you think you are fit for the job, just go for it.

After 3 years, one is eligible to apply for the post of Senior Flight Stewardess.

I went for June 2006 walk-in and didn't even pass through the first round. I tried again for the August 2006 walk-in and made it all the way. Like I've mentioned, if you think you are fit for the job, just go for it.

Thank you! You're done with your training and are now flying, ya? Everything going smoothly? What's the flying schedule like? For example: Do you leave early in the morning and return at night?

Imply? What does it say? "Previous applicants need not apply", if you went in January you are a previous applicant, is that so difficult to understand?

I hear lots of things: what matters is whether or not they are true, they very often are not.

Pls note that there is no planned night stop in silkair. We fly to our destination, drop n pick up new passengers (usually about 1hr transit) and then its back to singapore. If u are lucky, u get to step into the airport for a breather
