Any current/ex crews can give some insight into how the water confidence training is conducted?? I can't swim, but should be able to propel forward with a life vest; is this sufficient/passable? If one does not pass the water confidence test, does that mean she will be asked to quit? Many thanks for answering!!

MorningKiss it is a test of Confidence, with that being said, you may not know how to swim - but you MUST be able to jump off the mock aircraft into the pool, be able to waddle your way across to the end of the pool, and lastly waddle again towards + climb up life-raft.
if crew is not confident, Safety is compromised, in any emergency.

Post by Petite Doll » Mon, 14 May 2012 2:28 am

Hi ladies, anyone knows when is the upcoming Silkair interview? I can't believe I missed the one on 28th April when I've been checking frequently on the silkair website! :x Do share over here if there are any updates of the upcoming interview for the month of May ya? (:

Hi Martyni, thanks for the advice! I'm more concerned about the waddling to the other side of the pool than the jumping. Sigh.

Also, have you guys replied the deed form already? The due date is today... I'm still having internal struggles as to whether to join, because I am afraid that I would not make it past through the training.

Hi silk air girls, just wanna ask if any of you know, is it true that SIA doesn't accept ex silk air cabin crew?? Im not thinking about internal transfer, I'm referring to WALK IN interviews....

Secondly, internal transfer from MI to SQ is 3 yrs right? is it inclusive of the bond(15 mths) too?

@abilgal: i had a friend who was from silkair and if i'm not wrong, they turned her away because she did not complete her 6 mths grace from same co. back then she just ended her 5 year contract for abt 2 mths.

Hi... I am still trying to look for a guarantor... Replied the HR with the deed but indicated my spouse as the guarantor, got rejected (didn't noticed that spouse wasn't allowed... :???: ) I'm so afraid now cos if I can't find a guarantor, I will not be able to join.. ....

Hey I asked for a deferment as I can't find a guarantor and I couldnt commit to the training period.. So my training is defered to August instead... Anyone also starting later?
