hi all, i remembered someone mentioning take home pay from silkair to be approx 2.4~ 2.8k. can any existing silkair crew confirm this? also, they do regional flights, but is there any layovers at all? or all 100% return flights? thanks!

hi, yes, the crew bring back about that amount which is after CPF deduction after flying for say, a minimum of 80 hours. it's all 100% turnaround flts. no layovers or AOG unless something wrong with the aircraft engine etc..

hi there, do you know of any existing singaporean eurasian cabin crew members that fly via SilkAir? I heard that after 3 years you get the option to fly for SIA.

Can someone please confirm this?

I don't see any eurasian stewardess in silkair.
Yes, you may apply for transfer to SQ.
But it's not a confirmed thing. you will still need to go through interview with their management ppl.
Mostly they will take cic or unless your flying record is super good.

anybody trying for the coming Silkair interview? :)
i will be trying but after reading all the previous comments i'm kind of nervous since there seem to be no fix qualities they are looking for :(
anybody went through their uniform fitting before? any spot light like SIA?
i tried for SIA twice and both times i fail in the skin check round and the beautician checking my skin is the same woman. she can even remember that i went the first time 4 months ago during the second time :(

i will be going in the morning! hahaha
both times i went for SIA interview i reached at 7+ and 6+ respectively when it starts at 8+ but i'm in group 8 and 6 respectively as there are many people trying for SIA.
No idea if it will be the same for Silkair too so I am unsure of what time to go...

i know a girl who rejected SQ before but she tried again after a few years and got in, no blacklisting. You should try again! They are in need of crews now :)
good luck!
btw girl, are there spot light for uniform fitting or skin check like SQ?

but she only tried again few years later right? i tried last yr dec and was so stupid to reject offer cos i thought i will try SQ again, only to fail at the last stage! oh silkair is in need of crews now? i notice they only have frequent openings for CC appts this year.

nope there's no spotlight for skin check but the other time the interview was at STC and i was right beside this full length glass window and the sunlight was really strong so it makes no diff? it was quite a thorough check though but my interviewer was really kind enough to let me through the skin check even though i don't have perfect skin. are u trying this weekend? :)
