Hi
I've just recently moved into Singapore and my work had already sorted out a
condo for me. I'm unsure of the contractual obligations (will find out on Monday) but I want to move to a condo closer to the city. I'm only here for maybe another 10 - 11 months and this is printed on my employment pass. From what I've seen here
condos generally don't get rented out for less than a year.
Can someone please help me out and advise how I might be able to get around this or find a landlord that will agree to a shorter lease. Is contacting an agent the best bet? Thanks

All these agreement can be discussed with your agent one. Should be able to arrange with the landlord. If both parties agree, shouldn't be any problem.

Short term leases of 5-6 months

How easy is it to find a 1-2 bedroom for short term of 5-6 months? I know most owners prefer 2 years?
Last post
Yes usually owners will request higher rent for short terms ie: 3 months - 12 months..
Many owners are also not so keen even for 1-year.
