Who knew?

Postby Mary Hatch Bailey » Sun, 05 Feb 2006 12:13 pm

All this time I had no idea the first line of Wild Horses was "Childhood living is easy to do..." I don't know what I was singing, but it sure as hell wasn't that.

EXCELLENT SITE - but a bit dangerous as could get stuck there for hours. I am just glad to find out that other people heard "pajamas" instead of "were Jammin' " when listening to Bob Marley.

Mary - got me singin some stones songs now...
"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." Samuel Johnson

Wham - you are right it is a dangerous site, I just read the following:

Robert Palmer - addicted to love:

The real lyrics were:
might as well face it your addicted to love.

But I misheard them as:
might as well face it you a d1ck with a glove.

The embarassing moment of revelation:
I thought that it was a song about Michael Jackson and I asked a friend if he had heard this song. He had me recite the lyrics. He laughed at me for days.
"An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with his fools."

Hemingway

Baron! For shame, man! The name of the damn song is 'Addicted to Love!' or did you think that was 'A Dick with a Glove' as well?

This is sad. Are there days that you don't hear the Stones? Or have Sister Disco playing inside your head? Today I channeled Donovan. No kidding -- it was great.

I once read on a request coupon, the kind you have in pubs, the song title Wheels Of Chain. When the band played the request, I realised it was meant to be Winds Of Change ( by The Scorpions ).

..and a friend of a mate of mine once wrote Silver the Kiss instead of Sealed With A Kiss.
'If you feel alive
in a darkened room
Do you know the name
of your solitude..'

Mine are:

"Oh we are sailing, lets give peace a chance". Doh, I'm laughing now at how dumb it is...Ok in my defence I was just a baby when the bed-in happened.

I also used to think the the Dire Straits Money for nothing song was "Money for nothing and their cheques for free"
