Decent free weight gyms
Hey Jon,
I used to go to Planet Fitness, very close to Club Street. Seemed to be pretty decent. Nice machines and weights and also personal training available if you want. They charge a membership fee. Oh yes! there is also a steam room, yay!
If you are into thai boxing or want information regarding thai boxing, write me as I have personal training in thai boxing, at home. Good workout if you are into it. feel free to write me at my e-mail address if you have more questions about life in Singapore. In fact, that is better than posting me a reply here as I rarely check in. Good luck in Singapore!

well, as adviced by the nice folks here, I have tried out some of the Club Fit gyms, which are found in the suburbs. Pretty nice and compact with free weights etc. No frills though. But then again who need those frills if you are really going for a serious workout.
I mean it helps if I have a big personal tv by your side or such when I am on the treadmill, but if I were to really want to have a workout (not "walk"out) den I wouldn't need the tv, would I?
Anyways, they charge only SGD2.50 per entry and you don't have to commit yourself to just 1 particular gym for x period of time.
