I am hoping that somebody could advise me on my eligibility to apply for an emploment pass in Singapore. Here is my situation:
I am currently employed in a MNC in Australia. I am contemplating working from my company's office in Singapore. For all intents and purposes I would still be employed in Australia, getting paid from Australia, etc. I would simply be seated in Singapore. Call it a change in scenery if you will. I would be travelling o/seas at least once a month so I don't believe I would need any special visa to stay in Singapore since I would never be in Singapore for too long at any one time. My company in Australia is fine with this. The benefit to me is that I can return to Australia at any time without having to change work, etc, etc.
My question is - would I be eligible to apply for any of the employment pass categories in Singapore? I understand that I probably wouldn't need an employment pass but I would like one as I would be interested in obtaining PR status if I like it there.
Any inputs would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
