May I know what happen to the 'avatar' feature?

hi all whose working hard behind the scene,

realised that i can't add or change my avatar lately..
been seeing these error messages..

kindly advise..

Why restrict the 'Avatar' to around 10kb only, can't give some more space for that .....

If space is a constraint, why not allow it to be linked with an external url !!?
