Anyone rememer Charlie Chan? The 1930/40's detective series?? Trying to get hold of them on DVD but can only find the US format so guess it wont play on my DVD player.Stab in the dark but anyone got them?

I am not sure if US format is the same thing as a region. If it is then you might want to ask son number 5 at Sim Lim if your DVD player is multi region - most of those sold in Singapore are.

ha ha yeah think I mean region...just when i went on line trying to buy the dvd it said US and Canada region only

most of the DVD players available at sin lim are multi region - that is, they play a dvd from any region - the chip has been changed - it's the first question I ask when buying a dvd player as I have a collection of Region 1 DVD's that I need to be able to play.
