after a bit of googling I found that actually "Suan Lum Night Bazaar is scheduled to close in mid-February. It will be replaced by a high rise condominium."
I can't imagine that they will close the whole market to renovate all at once - too many livelyhoods at stake, I would have thought they will upgrade in parts if they are doing it. Hope that helps
