Thai Delivery

Post by singapore_xp » Sun, 22 Jan 2006 12:18 pm

Can anyone tell me if there is a place that delivers good Thai food in the Orchard Road area (orchard towers end)?

Also, someone mentioned to me a little while ago that there is a place in Singapore where all the Thai's tend to live/hang out. Where is this?

Thanks

Golden Mile Complex in Beach Road. I've heard you can buy Thai groceries and there also Thai food outlets there.

Quite a bit of Thai Take-out available right IN orchard towers -but not sure if it is the kind you are looking for...

Ask for 'Golden Mine" and you'll probably be getting the stares til you drop dead.

Golden Mile is the mall, and yes, it is all Thai there. They do take credit cards btw, no problem.

Wham, it is there that the Thai OT ladies bank their earnings and have their well deserved breakfast. I heard from saying of course.... :-|

And I guess 'delivery services' are easier to find in OT than at Golden Mile or elsewhere in town.

well, Golden Mile is alright. Pretty much safe if in the first place you go there genuinely for the authentic thai food or thai music or thai beer.

I am not Thai, but I used to go to the Thai disco there, that is called "Thai Disco" at a frequency of "8 nites a week instead of the usual 7" ahhahaha! thats just how often I go there! all because I like to eat Thai food, listen to Thai music and guzzle Thai beer.

I brought my Nederlandse friends, male and female, there and they were just so delighted with the whole place. dit is erg lekker zij zeggen!

I am female and asian and no one has mistaken me for a prostitute there, so I conclude that the factor of sleaze for Golden Mile is all in the mind ;)

PS: we do have a "male cat" after that night of binge drinking with my friends though, so do not underestimate the strengths of Thai beer... hahahahahah!
