Clean your laptop

Post by cneil » Sat, 07 Jan 2006 10:51 pm

What is the best way to clean a laptop screen? I don't want to use the wrong chemicals and discolor it. I also want to avoid scratching it.

I use the kit I bought to clean my sunglasses. It's basically a diluted isopropyl alcohol solution in a little spray bottle and also comes with a cleaning cloth....also perfect for LCD screens :)

Go to an office supply shop. 3M (and a bunch of other companies) make pack of alcohol based screen wipes (especially for LCD screens). They're very good at getting greasy fingerprint marks off! They do tend to dry out after about 6 months though, so don't get the big pack unless you plan on being a heavy user!
