Ok, my situation differed a little from yours in that when I applied for PR for my son, I was and still am a Singapore citizen. I was living in Singapore then and it was granted on a 2 year period basis. I was advised by a friend then that it is better to apply for PR before the child reaches the age of 6. I was asked to produce salary slips but beyond that it was fairly easy.

After we left the country, and we no longer renewed his PResidency , my son lost his PR status.

Good luck.

good sharing, thanks. My wife and i are PR in SG and she is expecting and if she give birth here in SG, will my child be a PR. If it is a boy does he needs to serve the army when he comes off age?.

Can anyone share? Worst case, i would like to send her back home and have it deliver in my home country. Thanks :???:

Mancunian? :D I wonder which part . . .

If your child is male (you're not at the stage where the sono tells you the gender? excited?) and has Singapore PR, he will have to undergo national service. If you want the benefits of the country, accept the obligations.

Thanks, you are correct about the gender. Personally, i have nothing against national service but i do want the option to be something my kid takes and not imposed upon him for the rest of his life.

My wife and I will ask for a repatriation if that is the only option. I believe many expat couples must have ponder on this, pls share.

Cheers :D

Yes I did.Only I was PR at that time. I applied PR for my 6mnths old son who was born in my home country & approved. At the same time my wife also got PR as dependant. It was smooth.

good luck.
