Payscale in Malaysia

Probably the wrong board to ask this question but I'm thinking some of you are Malaysians or have experience working in Malaysia or just simply aware of these things.

Any idea how much a writer/journalist for a local edition of a glamorous international publication (with offices throughout the region) should earn if he is based in Malaysia?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I didn't have friends in the publishing industry - and I still don't here...

In the ballpark figure of RM1,000-4,000 a month depending on years of experience?
But my thoughts are that you won't be short-changed if its an international publishing house. Huge MNCs have job standards, banes, grades, etc. It's the little push you need to provide to get the higher end of the range
