New 7 wonders of the World

A Swiss organisation is putting together a list for the new 7 wonders of the world & asking people to vote for their top 7. The reasoning being that the Pyramids are the only surviving ancient wonders. And it would be nice to let everyone have a say in the new list

The new list has 21 to chose from including the Great Wall, Sydney Opera house, Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, temple at Petra, Easter Island, Stonehenge etc

To vote you need to phone in, criteria for the 21 being a man made structure completed by 2000 & in fairly good nick.

Some I think definitely 'yes' like the pyramids and others I think definitely 'no' to like the Sydney opera house, statue of liberty. Not sure why but I guess it is because I feel that they should install a sense of "wonder" when you see them.

But when I add up the ones I want I come up with more than 7, so my question is why not have all 21 & just call it the 21 wonders of the world?

Eh....Singapore Merlion and Suntec's Ring of wealth are also both wonder leh!

They are Feng-shui wonders in Southeast-Asia!
