Sure, why not? He didn't kill any innocent life, rob the poor... (or did he?)
Perjury is why he was put behind bars if I am not wrong but I suppose behind every crime / felony committed there is a reason valid enough to the guilty person to do it. This reason may not be acceptable to the others perhaps. In his case, I would not ostracize him just because he had been put behind bars.
Besides, the law is grey and how many rich people (who can afford good lawyers) got away from petty crime like perjury? We wouldn't really know and I have no doubt these people are still respected and are friends of many people.
