Melancholy hits...

Post by dot dot dot » Sat, 31 Dec 2005 12:13 am

Can't think of a better mood....

In any order, success guaranteed! :)

Unchained Melody - U2 (coverversion, special memories, dedicated to...., the one and only  )
Nightporter - Japan (David Sylvian)
Tindersticks - Buried Bones
Radiohead - Street spirit (fade out)
Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye
Walk to the water - U2
Luminous Times - U2
Jefferson Airplane - Comin' back to me ('Nam song SMS?)
The unforgettable fire - U2
With or Without you - U2 (ok, can't get any better, the ultimate)

Which ones did I forget?

Eric

ps. ok, one more: Joy Division - walk in silence...

Oh dear Eric, methinks you are missing someone perhaps?

I agree with your list, and I have similar 'favourites' but they tend to be personal ones that have special meaning between me and a loved one and could maybe have a different sentiment to others.

But hey, 2006 is around the corner, let's drink some good wine tomorrow and look forward to the new year with a big smile :D

Have either of you two thought of downloading Napster - you can 'fish' around for some of your old favourites.

Have a good New Year.

I'm very excited to be seeing U2 in Sydney this March. It sold out in about 20 minutes. It's too bad Singapore doesn't get more headliners.

Yes we did indeed do that Saint, several in fact, plus cracked open a bottle of red at One Fullerton while watching the midnight fireworks.

Happy New Year to you and Mrs Saint too, and fingers crossed for Premiership football again for you boys soon!

Wow, so many songs for and from so many occasions - off the top of my head:

Three Times a Lady - The Commodores

Hymn - Barclay James Harvest

Ìber den Wolken - Reinhard Mey

Pictures of Matchstick Men - Status Quo

Fluff - Black Sabbath

So you win again - Hot Chocolate

Sigh, quite melancholy now . . . :?
