Nice views, quite ok, but a bit rowdy and noisy I find it. The Hifi they use would be better for a karaoke joint in Chinatown, bad bad quality...

Wouldn't spend my birthday there...

What would be your suggestion, Eric? Where to bring someone to celebrate a New Year birthday? :P

I was there a couple of months ago after visiting Sentosa for what I thought would be a nice sunset with my mum and nephews (14 & 16). The views after all are very nice there at sunset.

However, they were playing very loud music despite the place was deserted. I asked them if they could turn it down a bit, they said no problem but didn't. Also the first table we sat at by the balcony overlooking the city was swarming in ants. When I pointed this out, no apology, they just suggested we move to another table like the problem was with us for not liking ants??

I would suggest not going there. If you want a high level view of the city at sunset, try the Swisshotel bar, but go Mon - Thurs otherwise they rip you off a high (20 SGD++? pp) cover charge.
What's worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care
