I thought Merry Christmas in Cantonese was more like "Sing dong fai lok" but I am probably wrong, can anyone enlighten me as to what I may be saying?

BG, you may be right, I've found it several ways:

Gun Tso Sun Tan'Gung Haw Sun
Sing Dan Fae Lok
Sang Nian Fai Lok

I'll hold my greetings for the 24th

And officially in Holland we would say: zalig kerstfeest, not so much vrolijk kerstfeest. "Zalig" refers to christianity.

I don't think there's anything in any Indian language wishing Merry Christmas. What SMS posted in Hindi, Marathi and Urdu actually means something like Happy New Year.
It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.
