Insurance for Pregnancy

Post by NJ » Fri, 16 Dec 2005 2:59 pm

Does anyone know of any companies that offer

1) riders for pregnancy (we have health insurance through work but pregnancy is excluded)
2) travel insurance that DOES NOT exclude complications related to pregnancy.

Thanks in advance!

Are you already pregnant? If you're not and can wait six months till you conceive, then I think the best place to look is BUPA. They are quite costly but you're given full coverage for pregnancy (and travel etc). And the biggest difference between them and other companies is that you don't have to pay the bill and then get reimbursed later. They just deal with it. Your baby is covered immediately after birth too (a lot of companies won't do that as this is the time where risks are high for neo-natal care etc). The same coverage is worldwide. Sounds like an ad, doesn't it? :?
