Well, I don't like it too much either but art is certainly a matter of taste. I quite like SMS' attached painting and wouldn't care if it was painted by Matisse, Goya or Koko the Gorilla.

its more of like.. when the time comes, then i will lose it to him. but in order for that to happen, there have got to be signs and trusted instinct to tell me whether should i go for the plunge or not...

Interesting question. How is it relevant? Is there a use by date stamped on it? Seriously though, why would age, as long as one is legally above the age of consent, have a bearing on it? My MiL got married at 14 (1st child also at 14-arranged marriage) This makes my MiL only 14 years older than my wife. She was married to him until he died 3 years ago (55 years of marriage). Frankly, I am opposed to the virginity until married thing. (Unless it's my daughter!

) I actually worry though, even in her case, cause what happens when you buy a car without test driving it? Buying a home, Making a huge investment. You want to eliminate as many of the unknown variables as possible to ensure a good investment. And that's what a marriage is, an investment. Maybe moreso here than in the west although today I doubt it. Not sure how many westerners today marry for love anymore either.

What happens if the physical part of a new marriage is substandard or unacceptable? What happens if the guy is a pervert or worse, or the girl is frigid? While physical intimacy is not necessary in the long run, it is highly important in the short term (maybe the most important!)

Nah, think I would always want a test drive but don't want a vehicle that been test driven by too many though! (has to be a low mileage version)
