Budget hotel/hostels without Bed Bugs

Post by Vincent Mothballs » Thu, 08 Dec 2005 11:20 am

can anyone recommend some budget accomodation around City/Bencoolen area? (staying about 3 weeks)

Most of the budget places I know of have all got BED-BUG infestations.

Sloane Court Hotel on Balmoral Road, Hotel 81 Bencoolen, YMCA Orchard, the RELC near the Shangri-la hotel.

More budget than the Y? I hear you can pitch tents in East Coast park. Won't be any bed bugs there... :o

If you are looking for a hostel rather than a hotel you could check out the InnCrowd in Little India - fairly new and modern, near the MRT.

You might want to try Lucky Plaza. Some of the apartment's owners are renting out couple of their rooms. There won't be any hotel/hostel services, but the room are mostly clean and air-con.

I heard some of the rooms can be as low as 50 bucks per night, but sometime depending on the type of room as well as the season. Holiday season normally would be very difficult to get a reservation.
