Tropical Christmas Treats! - Saturday December 17th

Postby seraphim » Tue, 06 Dec 2005 3:39 pm

Right!

So Christmas is around the corner yet again.....my, how times flies.

And for those of you that are not flying back home for the hols, how does a festive get together sound?

The Plan

Date: Saturday, December 17th 2005 (this time I am not fudging the dates...have a calendar righ in front of me!!!)

Time: about 5pm ish - its an all night christmas do!
(ok, ok, I'm flexible - PM me if its too early)

Location: A yet to be discovered poolside, Christmas tree plonked in place

Dress Code: Tropical! Swimmers, Hawaiian shirts, sarongs (especially for the SPG's!!! :P ), bikinis, shorts, anything red n green.

Drinks: Please BYOB (I have stated several times: I do not own a vineyard! But I will manage to bring a case of beer of two )

The Menu: Pot Luck or Barbeque? Please prceed to the poll and make your choice :)

The Catch: Theres a mini gift exchange! Please bring a small item wrapped in christmassy trim that costs less than $10. They'll all be dunked into Santa's Gunny Sack and redistributed later to spread the cheer! Have fun with your gift selections!.....condoms are cheap :P - so are chocolates and candies, candles and coasters, bookmarks and Brylcreem, doughnuts and doormats (!!) etc....

Please reply on this thread so I can keep count of guests and gifts!
(Or PM me if you are of the more clandestine sort.... )

Cheers! :D

Hmm...I voted for bbq, don't make me cook again! Sounds like a party, I need to be there to make it fun eh? :P
And, all those who doubt Seraphim's skills in organising parties, please don't. We've had at least two hugely successful outings which were a blast.

We all know you're a lazy, hopeless and hapless cook, Saphs...

No worries! You can just bring a lighter to start the fire!

You do take me literally, don't you?

Did you really think I'd let you get away with only bringing something you always have with you? Hah! Perish the thought!

If the potluck wins, you get to bring a Christmas Turkey/goose!

Yes it was indeed Sapphire's lighter that started the bbq last Saturday, but that was about the only contribution to the cooking she made from what I can recall :P How on earth will we manage when she gives up smoking :-k

The party sounds a great idea Seraphim, please count me in though I won't be able to be there till around 7.00 ish earliest.

There were mixed veggies? Where? I thought there was just potato salad and skewered fresh veggies for BBQ roasting?

No matter, you can bring veggies AND the Turkey on the 17th. Ok? :P

Agree with Seraphim, I didn't see those unless they are what ended up on the skewers?

And what happened to the sausages by the way?
