I'm due to be moving to Singapore in January and my pregnant wife will be joining me in February...we have many promises of visitors from family who will be keen to descend once the new baby is born and I was wondering if there are affordable apartments to rent where guests can stay for up to four weeks?
I have a feeling things could get pretty cramped with a new baby and in-laws all in the same flat!!!
Many thanks in advance...

Many thanks Carpe... can see the cost racking up, though.
Does anyone know if landlords rent apartments out for a short-let period, say for one month?

Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to get short term rental. I am back home in SG for vacation and was looking for 2 months rental. Contacted a few rental agents and the minimum contract was for 6 months. I even offered to pay for 3 months rent but no takers as most agents preferred a one-year contract.
You may want to try contacting hotels that offer discount for long term stay. Good luck on your search and congratulations for the baby on the way.

Pal, would you believe for some it's just too much trouble to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see what else is on there? That why all the stoopid questions in some of the threads, don't know how to write english 'gud' so can't do a decent google? Maybe a rearrangement of the index.php might be in order. Could possible boost hits on the realty threads.

Yeah ... most likely had to design a nice big banner in the middle of index.php
