Post by newman » Mon, 28 Nov 2005 12:47 pm

Hi all,
I have been working on EP for past couple of years.
I want to apply for PR soon.

Is it possible for me to apply for PR now .

I am in utter confusion now on what to do.

Somebody please advice me on this issue.

Can't you get a letter from your embassy stating the mistake and the correct DOB?

For me, its more on the name issue and I got a letter from the embassy stating that the name in cert A, B, C and D belongs to the same person which correct name is ...

hope this helps,

Why didn't you take back the passport when it arrived with the mistake? Surely, by accpeting it, adn using it (knowing it to be incorrect), this is a pretty big issue?

Go to your embassy with your birth cert., drivers license and academic certs (with your birthdate), explain your passport has a mistake and you want it replaced. Does your EP have the correct date? If not, then I am afraid you have already "betrayed" the government, really.
