yo.. my third posts.. hehe.. i am thinking of getting the singnet $88 a mth internet i think its the 10mbps plan. and i can choose to get a free lap top (R50e) but i can also upgrade to the T43 thinkpad. is it worth it? is the T43 good? can give me some opinions? thanks!

T43 is a great machine. Primary difference is that it is lighter and seems more robust to me... a better travel machine. Also slightly thinner.

imho, sony and ibm are horribly overpriced. will a middle-class member ever get a S$5,000 personal laptop
Got myself a Inspiron 9300. Powerful machine, but slightly on the large side. 17" at 3.5kg...
Goatboy will always cherish his former goatgirl.
But the world is full of fluffier ones.

It's definitly not something you want to haul down to every starbucks or coffee bean & tea leaf is it. Although the drool factor is pretty good. Visually the Acer 17" is more striking but not value for value unless you want to watch tv on the thing.
I have also got a 9300 with the backback to make toting it a wee bit easier.

Yeah, not a natural every-day hauling baby, I guess. But I am using it for my MBA
Job hazard. Will be staring at the screen for very extended hours. Can't squint my eyes for on a 12/14"...
