Is S$ 5,500.- a reasonable price to find a house that is spacious (built up area a minimum of 3500sqf - yes, talking only about the built up area not the land and not including patio).
If yes, can someone help and recommend me which area?
We're moving Jan 2006, but still have problems finding a house. We have one young son, and quite a lot of furniture (hence the big and spacious built up area needed).
The dream house is one that has nice neighbourhood (friendly neighbours will be great - as we will be new in the country), close to ammenities. Wouldn't mind older house (as long as it's not in a run down condition) and doesn't have to be in the expat area. A bit of a garden is a great bonus!
Very grateful with your suggestions and input...

Re: Reasonable price for finding a landed property
Landed property, you definitely get some land. go for the Semi-detached is best for you. it can be cheaper than S$5,500 if you are talking about a simple 3500sqft built in area.No Borders wrote:Is S$ 5,500.- a reasonable price to find a house that is spacious (built up area a minimum of 3500sqf - yes, talking only about the built up area not the land and not including patio).

advice to you is when you're here, look around more. decide for yourself.
