Pharmacist registration

Postby pam79 » Thu, 24 Nov 2005 2:44 pm

My husband is still working in my home country (as a Pharmacist). He's finding it difficult to find a sponsor, in order for him to get through internship and subsequent registration in Spore. I can get him a dependent pass from my EP, but he will not be able to practice though. Can anyone with experience advice me on this please?

Thanks,
pam

I think that this website will be more useful, Singapore Pharmacy Board:

Thank you bleepbleep. If I'm not mistaken, registration requires job offer and subsequent internship. My husband is a production pharmacist (managerial position), it's difficult to get an offer in a hospital / retail for intern position without experience in the related field. Is internship allowed in an industrial setting? Can anyone please advice?

Thank you.

Have not come across internship in industrial setting. You may want to check with the people in Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore for advice.

That's a fair advice. Will do that. Might consider him speaking to them directly when he's down here. Thanks.
