i was reading the post and my hearbeats went faster and faster until the end where u said u got a job. I am so glad for u. so, may i know what is your field? (what do u do?)

i think nowadays the economy is really unstable......i am really sorry to hear that you have been rejected by the company......i guess all i can say is that when times are bad.....people keep on cutting workers.........USA.......singapore..........elsewhere too....i guess its no difference.....however yeah since you have a PHD....why not work as a lecturer.....i am sure with your qualifications you are more than desired...........and good luck with the interview since you have a job now....

Yeah, it's either getting retrenched or the firm itself going belly-up :(
