You have a Ph. D.? Try contacting universities and polytech's. They might be able to sort you out with a lecturing or something. The bonus being that while the money is terrible, they will often provide on-site housing for families.
Good luck, this must be very stressful for you.

Sorry for you. As you must know you will have 2 weeks visa after your EP is cancelled. So you must act quickly. May be you can try to get a longer visa in order to find a new job? I advise you to contact MOM as soon as possible.
All the best.

Not one month - -TWO WEEKS! Get your butt into gear and SEE as many people as possible, don't rely on the internet or phone.
Shit, I really hate hearing about this situation . . . Two weeks . . . sucks.

Ah, very true - the notice period - what counts for the MoM?

You get a 14 days visa after loss of EP, so this is 14 days after end of the notice period.
By the way this is something you might try to negotiate, felicityue. Can they accept to extend the notice period?

Felicity, if you get desperate you could always go up to malaysia for the morning, of course. That'll give you another two weeks (on Social Visit Pass) to look for work...

Congratulations! That's great news. We have just experienced this same awful thing in our house - it was sheer agony. Glad to hear things have worked out for you. Happy New Year.
