Am besten wäre wohl das Goethe Institut. . .

The German Eurpean School have mums and kids playgroups. They are an International School, but are on the same campus as the German Schule. That could be a good starting point. Follow the link in Carpe Diem's post.

I think the playgroups are only for younger kids (3-4 years old), on second thoughts. I'm sure if you explained that you wanted to meet up with German-speaking mums, that they could be accomodating.

Did you try the Swiss club?

thanks kiwi,
actually, i cant speak german at all. it's more for my son - he loves it.
i think the swiss german language is a little different? i dont know if it is just the accent or usage of words too. my son's german is not fantastic- i think- as he has only been speaking it for 7 months so he may not completely understand the swiss' german. will keep that in mind though. :)
