can anybody tell me , if these school/teachers are accredited by the montessori board of examiners (MBE), or do the schools just teacher the montessori approach to education.

As any preschool can use the method and word (montessori) but not be accredited by the board.

I'm looking for a pre-school which is accredited.

any suggestion

cheers

The standards of so-called "Montessori" schools in Singapore can vary greatly. Some of the schools clearly have no idea about the Montessori principles. I would suggest you visit and talk to the principal of any school that you are considering to determine if they are genuinely a Montessori based school or merely using the Montessori brand. I have found from my expereince that accredition does not guarantee much. My advice would be to be familiar with the Montessori method yourself and then talk to the principal/teachers to see how it is implemented.

pinkyima, no harm getting on the waiting list now. I have heard a lot of very good things about Buttercups too. I visited the place recently and am suitably impressed.
