Montessori Children's House Pte Ltd at 886 Old Holland Road. You can contact them at 6468 8372. This one's quite a distance from HV. Tree House Montessori is closer to HV at 20 Holland Grove Road. Their contact: 6468 5855.

We are looking for a nursery for our boy as well. Yesterday we visited one of Montessori Children's House and when we asked the superviser if it is possible to meet the group's teacher, got the negative answer!!! She said "That is not what we do here". I was so confused... Tomorrow we'll try Brighton Montessori Center. Can anyone recommend this place???

I stay at Holland V as well, and am looking for a playschool for my 2-year old. In fact, we just checked out a Montessorri nursery called Buttercups, at Holland Grove. By taxi, it's just 5 minutes away, and the teachers all seem pretty friendly and qualified. Great space too! The only problem is the waiting list...but good luck with your search.

I saw one of them and didn't like it. I saw children - they were very nervous. So I'm looking for a good one too.

I'll be relocating to Singapore soon. I'm now trying to look for a kindergarten for my 3 months old daughter.

May I know where is the MMI Centre? What's the school fee?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
There's one centre i know along River Valley Road (JHS Montessori) is particularly popular amongst Expats in singapore.
Principal of that school is very passionate about the job and it's just a fantastic school that i would recommend any of my expat friends.
Check it out.
Here's the website

Hi all,

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but does anyone know anywhere similar around Kembangan / East Coast for my 2.5 Yr old lad, as Holland V is a bit of a trek for him really.

Thanks

Enrichment vs Tuition

Post by SkyLove » Tue, 07 Feb 2006 10:29 am

Hi,
For those who will be sending your child to classes, please be informed that there is a difference between an enrichment centre and a tuition centre.
Enrichment cirriculums are generally activity based (non academic). It is a kinestatic learning process.
However, a tuition centre teaches the technical aspects of one particular subject and you'll find the child sitting down most of the time.
