what will be the approx weight of the furniture you will be looking into.

Weight doesn't matter much, it's volume... Get a quote from a freight forwarder for a 20' container...

Going the other way, US (Philly) to SG for a 20' container door to door is US$3000.

iz it worth while for a furniture that can be bought locally there.
