Most cultures have a version of this, don't they?

And the dumpling. My husband's people either call them Peirogis or ravioli... :)

Is your husband of Polish/Italian descent?

Yup most cultures have different versions of cooking the humble spud.I love potatoes and find it to be extremely versatile in cooking. Fried, boiled mashed, curried or baked, it always manages to taste just great.

Do Polish and Italians always divorce?
It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Vaucluse, I have to admit I missed reading your posts too esp. the witticisms you're able to spout seemingly effortlessly.

Are you all moved in and settled yet? I hate moving , nope that's not right, what I mean is I detest packing and unpacking. Moving's sort of an adventure for me.

Haha, don't ask me how I know these things, these Americanisms.

He said: Hey, what am I, chopped liver? In other words do I see him as part of the furniture. In other words, why haven't I noticed him.

Ok EADG, I accept, you're always sweet to me. :)

You flatter me, GC . . . :)

All moved and settled in, thanks - and moving used to be fun, until you have kids, then it's ugh . . . Travelling is still greatest, though.
