i will be on a DP when i come to singapore.
as i understand for working, one requires letter of consent which the employer needs to apply for,

if i were to work from home (coaching classes etc), would this be permitted

If you would like to be a tutor, you dont need to write in to any organiztion to seek their approval. However, you need to remember that the income is not stable. Students can quit at any point in time. If you need to know about the tutoring rates, in Singapore, I would be able to assist you as well. (since I was an ex tutor/school teacher).
