Everything INDIAN but the guys... [feedback pls]
I had a friend (Chinese) who was in a relationship with an Indian expat, fastforward a year later - they were talking about settling down. The girl was even seriously thinking of converting to his faith. Then he went home for one month and came back married.
Apparently his mother had a bride all ready waiting for him and he didn't have the heart to break his mummy's heart. My poor friend was left with a broken heart.
Are arrange marriage still the norm among Indian expats?

As much as time & technology has advanced, indians are still very much traditional at heart. Arranged marraiges are often pushed onto them by their parents & relatives.
Still, the only responsible thing to do is not to lead anyone on.
Hope your friend is healing well and send her a big hug for me on my behalf. Guess we would be considered travellers of the same path once...

Secondly...She is Indian (local) and her family is quite conservative (makes things simple) althought I am sure she would not mind any other race since she is quite open-minded.

I went down the same road too!
His mother made him choose me or his inheritance
Obviously he didn't pick me...but he wanted to hang on to me on the side. So I "borrow" a friend's fling just to make him understand that I was SO-OVER
him but I ended up marrying my alibi
What's your story morning glory?
