I'm mid-contract with O2, and I'm not sure whether to pay roaming charges or buy a new SIM when I arrive in Singapore. I'd like to keep my existing phone (imate Jam/HTC Magician) but expect to make a calls to London, Bangkok and within Singapore. What's my best option?
Any advice appreciated.

how long u going to plan to stay in SG?
for long distance call, you might just purchase a IDD card, where you can have a talktime range from 100 minute to 300 minute, but just paying less than 10 bucks (has to using fix line to enjoy longer minute of talktime)
using prepaid card to call long distance is very expensive
normal charging will be 22cents per minute:
singtel prepaid: http://home.singtel.com/consumer/produc ... d_rate.asp
m1 prepaid:
http://m1.com.sg/M1/site/M1Corp/menuite ... 5a160aRCRD
starhub prepaid:
http://www.starhub.com/mobile/greenprep ... arges.html
if you are plan to stay longer.
you can consider VOIP
