Hi,

I frequent Raintree Day Spa (previously Renewal Day Spa), in fact I just went there yesterday. Yes they have couple rooms amd quite nice ambience with dim lights. If you are talking about sharing jacuzzi etc together, sorry i don't know of any one because so far the spas i went to separates the jaccuzi, steambath, sauna etc between the male and female toilets. Only massage is together. Mine is a package so i don't really know their Ala-Carte price, but swedish massage should be $75. Body scrub is around $60-$74, depending which scrub you want. They have walnut scrub, Javanese Lulur etc. In the male toilet, there's jaccuzi, hot and cold tub and steambath, but there's only steambath in female toilet.

The price $75 for massage is considered reasonable price to me, because the same massage is going to cost about $110 at St. Gregory. Eventhough some smaller-scale spas offer about $45, but the place is small and room is very small too. Usually, they don't have couple rooms. That's why i've been sticking to Raintree Day Spa eventhough there's so many new spas sprouting nowadays. Oh! Another thing to add: it's not crowded at all, even weekends. So, total relaxation!

Another place to recommend for spa with your man: Tea Tree Spa in Holiday Inn, Batam. Nice massage room that looks like a attap house, really really nice... Usually i will book for a 2 day 1 night, take ferry to Batam (about 45mins only) at noon, check-in hotel, change into bikini for suntanning, spa in the evening, dinner at the chinese restaurant in the hotel, Zzzzzz, next morning buffet breakfast, swim and suntan again, go up room bath and change, then prepare to take ferry back. Argh, thinking about this makes me feel like booking for my next trip there soon!

Hi,

Sorry i don't think Raintree Day Spa has a website. You can call 67355665 to ask if they can fax you their pricelist, and to ask if they have any current promotion. I can't really advise you how much to pay if you go as a couple, because it very much depends on which treatment you go for. What i suggest is, 2 swedish massage and 2 body scrub for you and your hubby. That should make both of you happy and relax enough. Hee. If you want something else or something more, go for wraps. Yes, a lady will be doing massage for your hubby, but don't need to get too worried lah, because it's all auntie masseurs there, no pretty pretty young masseurs! hee. Try to book for Maria to do the massage for you, and Maggie for your hubby. Maria and Rose are good, both malay hence they don't do massage on men.

Batam.... erm .... ok, usually i book with Five Star Travel at Golden Mile Complex for a 2 day 1 night short getaway to Batam Holiday Inn Resort. They cost almost as much as if you book yourself. If you go on a friday or weekend, i think it cost $100 per person. This $100 includes return ferry, shuttle to and fro hotel, 1 night accomodation, buffet breakfast for 2. Since your hubby is a PR and you are booking through a tour agency, they can help you to settle any visa requirements, so no hassle! Holiday Inn Resort is clean and nice, so don't worry about cleanliness. The staffs there can speak simple english too. Rooms are big and clean... i really love that place!

Hee, you can forget about the shopping in Batam lah... it's as if shopping in a 60's environment.

The massuese there are younger girls, very gentle and soft-spoken one...
